This is the website of the Young Climate Change Champion for the South East, selected by Defra. It will encourage you to cut your carbon footprint. To do that, it will explain what climate change is and show you how to make a real difference, giving you the knowledge needed in the fight to have an impact. After all, in the words of Defra, 'tomorrow's climate is today's challenge'.

Being a 'Climate Change Champion'
This is perhaps the most exciting thing ever to happen to me: being selected as a national 'Climate Change Champion' by Defra (Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs)...
...it's a fantastic opportunity!
I've been able to quiz the Prime Minister on climate change, witness the incredible action being taken in the Netherlands and meet a Dutch Bali delegate (who had an amazing passion for change!). Over the course of the year, I'll be working to raise awareness of the issue, and hopefully show people that this is a real opportunity for action.
In particular, I am the Champion for the South East, and am exceptionally eager to get my message out to people both in the region and the country as a whole. I'd love to speak or take part in any climate change events or school assemblies, or simply come and watch.
